{"id":2403,"date":"2016-06-26T20:01:50","date_gmt":"2016-06-27T00:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ptwatercraft.com\/blog\/?p=2403"},"modified":"2016-06-26T20:01:50","modified_gmt":"2016-06-27T00:01:50","slug":"race-to-alaska-from-the-waterbug","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ptwatercraft.com\/blog\/race-to-alaska-from-the-waterbug\/","title":{"rendered":"Race to Alaska from the Waterbug"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There is no doubt about it&#8230;We are R2AK junkies&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>This year we did not have a sailboat in the water so we launched <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=41qoqxMVkBU\" target=\"_blank\">the Waterbug<\/a> and followed some of the lead boats to Victoria.<\/p>\n<p>I have put together <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/-Ecg9s6fYw4\" target=\"_blank\">a little video (HERE)<\/a> of our outing, from the start of the Race in Port Townsend, crossing to Victoria and cheering many of the arriving boats. They trickled in all day. (and in the morning on Friday as we left) The very best way to follow the race is <a href=\"http:\/\/r2ak.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">on the r2ak.com website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Below is a slide show as well. Unfortunately, I had a hard time getting many good pictures with the equipment I had and in the rain. There are some very good photos being posted on Facebook and other places online.
